This past week, the UHD Wrestling Team sent two students, freshman Lelan Hernandez and senior Carlos Lopez, who boast impressive 77.78% and 66.67% win percentages respectively, to the 2026 NCWA National Championships!
The Men’s Volleyball team played Houston City College-Northeast last Wednesday, March 25, and won both sets with a 19-point average margin of victory. Women’s Volleyball played against Lone Star College-Montgomery last Wednesday. The team entered their fifth set of the night tied with LSC-Montgomery but pulled ahead in a nailbiter with a score of 18–16. The team maintains a strong record of 4–1 for the season.
As the volleyball season winds to a close, Gator fans have three more chances to see our teams compete this season. You can catch the teams on Wednesday, April 1, at the Wellness & Success Center, as they both play against College of the Mainland. The Lady Gators will start at 7 p.m., and the Men’s team starts at 8:30 p.m. They’ll play again at the WSC at the same times on April 8.
