  • Every UHD laptop comes fully charged and pre-loaded with the tools you need:

    • PRODUCTIVITY: Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PPT), Visio Pro, Project
    • CREATIVE & TECH: Adobe Acrobat DC, WinZIP, FileZilla
    • BROWSERS & MEETINGS: Chrome, Edge, Zoom, Teams, LockDown Browser
    • MEDIA:  VLC Player
    • SECURITY: Protected by CrowdStrike Antivirus

    PRO TIP: Save your work to OneDrive or a USB drive, or email. Files saved locally are automatically deleted when the laptop is returned!may be lost upon return.

  • πŸ“‹ The "Gator Rules" (Guidelines)
    • On-campus use only. Laptops stay on campus at all times.
    • Valid ID Required:You must have a valid GatorCard to check out a device (limit 1 per student).
    • Stay Alert: Never leave your laptop unattended. You are responsible for the device until it is checked back into the kiosk.
    • Kiosk Use: Only UHD laptops belong in the kiosk. Do not use the kiosk to charge personal phones or tablets. 

       

      ⚠️ Disclaimer, Terms & Penalities

      By using the kiosk, you agree to the UHD Policy 08.A.04

      and accept financial responsibility for the equipment.

      The Laptop Kiosk is designed exclusively for UHD laptop checkout and return. Placing personal devices inside kiosk drawers may result in the drawer locking or the device being registered as returned. UHD is not liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by misuse of the kiosk.

    • Replacement & Damage Costs:

      • Lost/Stolen Laptop: $1,400

      • Late Return Fee: $25 per day

      • Incidental Damage: Costs vary based on repair.

      Late Return Consequences:

        1. 1st Offense: 2-week checkout suspension.

        2. 2nd Offense: 30-day checkout suspension.

        3. 3rd Offense: Suspension for the remainder of the semester. Unpaid fines may result in a student account hold, affecting registration and transcripts.
